The bronze plaque at the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem, commemorating the courage and sacrifice of the Battle of Arnhem, has disappeared. Authorities suspect theft and will file a police report. This memorial marks one of the most sacred places in Arnhem, where the memory of Operation Market Garden is honored every year. It is also the finish location of the Liberation Trail. The loss of this plaque saddens us. We will continue to tell the stories. We will continue to remember. Never forget.
