Terms and conditions

Persista and 2Seconds in these terms and conditions are called the “Event Organizers” .
These terms and conditions apply to all participants who register to take part in the “Liberation Trail 2027”. The “Liberation Trail” will take place from the 21st of May 2027 up to and including the 23rd of May 2027 with a mandatory briefing on the 21st of May 2027.

Articles

1. By registering in the event, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. All participants must be above 18 years of age.
3. You are responsible for reading the details and description regarding “Liberation Trail 2027” contained on the website liberationtrail.org and any other information that may be sent to you by the Event Organizers and agree that you clearly understand what ability is required and what is entailed in participating in the “Liberation Trail 2027”.
4. The participant agrees to pay the full subscription fee of €450 upon registration for the Liberation Trail 2027 via our third-party platform, Inschrijven.nl.
5. Cancellation, deferral and transfer policy. By registering for the Liberation Trail 2027, the participant agrees to the following cancellation, deferral and transfer policy:
   • Up to and including April 18th, 2027, you have three options when you are not able to participate:
     1. Refund: Cancel your registration by sending an email to info@liberationtrail.org and receive a refund of the paid fee minus a 25% administration fee (€ 112.50). This means you will receive a net refund of € 337.50.
     2. Deferral: Transfer your registration by sending an email to info@liberationtrail.org to the next edition (2028) at an extra cost of € 25.
     3. Transfer: Transfer your ticket to another person free of charge by using the third-party-platform Inschrijven.nl
   • From April 19th, 2027, onwards: Refunds and deferrals to the 2028 edition are no longer possible. You can only transfer your ticket to another person, subject to the following three conditions:
     1. The transfer must be requested by sending an email to info@liberationtraill.org.
     2. The bib number will still print and display the name of the original participant.
     3. The T-shirt size can no longer be changed.
6. When subscribing to the “Liberation Trail 2027” you agree that you will have two options when the Event Organisers must shift the date of the “Liberation Trail 2027” in case of force majeure (like Covid-19 measures):
   1. 1. Shifting your participation to the new date without any extra costs. This is the most cost-effective option.
      2. Refund: Claim a refund of the registration fee minus a 25% administration fee (€ 112.50). This means you will receive a net refund of € 337.50. A refund is only applicable if the participant has paid the fee.
7. The Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel the event if the minimum number of 40 participants is not reached by February 1st, 2027, or in case of force majeure. In the event of such a cancellation, participants will be entitled to a refund of the registration fee minus a 10% administration fee (€ 45), resulting in a net refund of € 405. Under no circumstances can the Event Organizers be held liable for any travel or accommodation expenses incurred by participants.
8. If any details provided by you on your registration form changes, you must notify the Event Organisers immediately by emailing info@liberationtrail.org.
9. The Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel your participation in the event if any information provided by you is found to be inaccurate in any way. In this case you will be refunded your participation fee minus 25% administration costs over the total participation fee you had to pay. This means you will receive a net refund of € 337.50. A refund is only applicable if the participant has paid the fee.
10. You agree that if issued, GPS data (from the issued GPS Tracker) of your movements at the “Liberation Trail 2027” will be displayed and recorded. This data will be available to be recalled after the event
11. Please note that all arrangements for the “Liberation Trail 2027”, including the venues, date and program may be subject to change, any changes will be notified to you by email or whatsapp.
12. You are responsible for ensuring that you have taken your own medical advice, and that you are medical fit and healthy and have undertaken appropriate training and preparation to participate in the “Liberation Trail 2027”.
13. You are responsible for taking out suitable personal insurance cover for your participation in the “Liberation Trail 2027”.
14. You agree that you participate in the “Liberation Trail 2027” at your own risk, and accept that the Event Organisers cannot be liable to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any personal injury sustained by you in any way or loss or damage to any personal property because of your participation in the event.
15. You must abide by any rules or regulations of the “Liberation Trail 2027” that may be notified to you by the Event Organisers or the venue owners at any point leading up to or at the event.
16. You must show respect and courtesy towards other participants and spectators. If you behave in any manner which is, in the Event Organisers opinion, poor sportsmanship or a risk to the safety of any other participant, spectators or anyone else in attendance at the event this may result in you being disqualified from the “Liberation Trail 2027” and removed from the venues. Without any right to a refund.
17. You are responsible for the safe keeping of your own personal possessions and those of any spectators you may bring to the “Liberation Trail 2027”. Personal possessions left unattended at the venue in any facilities provided or otherwise are left entirely at your own risk.
18. The Event Organizers are not responsible for any third-party organisations that may be provide other services at the “Liberation Trail 2027”. You use any such services at your own risk.
19. If access to published course is restricted for any reason an alternative route will be used.
20. You agree to photographs and video being taken at the event and that any images of you may be used by the Event Organisers in any media regarding the event and to market and advertise the event or any other similar events.
21. By registering you are agreeing to any data provided being used by the Event Organisers to contact you regarding other events.
22. You agree that once you have been issued your GPS Tracker you are responsible for it. You agree to pay a sum of € 50 on invoice if you do not return your GPS Tracker at the finish of the event.
